The aim of the course is to comprehensively review the complex anatomy of the head and neck area and therefore especially addresses both young and old surgeons who intend to devote themselves or who are already dedicating to surgery in this field. Furthermore we believe that the particular formula we have studied, divided into a first intensive anatomic dissection part lasting 3 days and followed by an equally intensive day of live surgery from 4 operating theaters of 2 different hospitals, can be an added value compared to the more common formulas commonly used in dissection courses. The organization is also managed by two Ent Departments (ENT unit of Modena and Reggio Emilia) within the common aegis of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia; this can represent an additional value to offer students the opportunity to observe different types of approach and to have a direct and interactiv relation with teachers and tutors during the dissecting days. Finally, the venues (Verona, Modena and Reggio Emilia) offer the opportunity to appreciate both cultural and
culinary aspects that are incomparable.
